Runway Visitor Park Information
The Aviation Viewing park is a great place to spot with man made hills where you can have a great over look of the airfiled. The Park has a great cafe with good prices and a resturant with lots of different meals, there is also a shop with all sorts of things to do with Aviation eg: aircraft modles, books, magazines, airband radio's and frequency books.
There are five Aircraft at the Airport where you may step on bored and have a look round, what are Monarch DC-10, Nimrod Trident Three G-AWZK, Avro RJX and Concorde G-BOAC. There are aircraft tours Monday to Friday with a charge but on Saturday and Sunday one of the Aircraft is free to go on and have a look round but not Concorde.

Come off at junction 6 of the M56 follow the signs for the Runway Park next take the A538 still following the signs turns off at Sunbank Lane then at the end of the road the turn Right and stay on that road untill you come to the Park.Sat Nav Co-ordinates: Latitude: (53.354714) and Longitude: (2.284451)
How to get there
Manchester Airport train station is just under 3 miles away from the Park. The 200 bus currently runs an hourly service to the Runway Park. For bus times ring Traveline on 0871 200 2233. Other wise you could get a short taxi journey to the park.

The Airport Pub
The Airport Pub is very popular and the great thing is no parking charges, but you (must) buy a drink of somthing eg:beer or may be cola and then you may enter the beer garden at that back of the pub where there are some benches, it is a great place for you and the family to take pictures of the Aircraft at the end of runway 23R.
Driving Directions: Come off at junction five of the M56 follow the road round at follow the signs for the Airport. When driving down the road turn off at the first slip road on your left, when you reach the top of the road take the first exit and go down Outwood Ln W. When you reach the end of the road you come to a round about take the first exit. What will bring on to Ringway Road W, when you come up to the round about take the fourth exit what will keep you on the same road you are on. The go straight down the road and its the first turn on your right what is Ringway Road and on your left hand side a bit further down the road is the Airport Pub.
